At HAS Foundation - Our mission is to inspire mindfulness, support the development of innovative solutions, and enhance quality of life. We work to advance healing, recovery, and well-being for individuals affected by neurological conditions and brain trauma—including complex neurodegenerative disorders such as ALS, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and Parkinson’s disease, all of which share underlying challenges related to progressive neural deterioration, impaired communication between brain cells, and declining cognitive or motor function.

Through science, compassion, and ethically grounded collaboration, we aim to address these common challenges with care and innovation. We are dedicated to supporting research, treatment, and rehabilitation across the spectrum of brain and neurodegenerative conditions, advocating for those affected, and providing ongoing support to survivors and families throughout their journey toward recovery, adaptation, and improved quality of life.

We don’t work alone—we bring together medical professionals, legal experts, researchers, and community partners to close critical gaps in care. We serve as a bridge—connecting individuals affected by neurological conditions to the people, resources, and systems that can support their healing, recovery, and long-term well-being.

Through our conferences and events, we create spaces for collaboration, raise public awareness, and highlight emerging research and care practices—ensuring these conversations translate into action.

At HAS Foundation, we don’t replace the system—we connect it. With compassion and integrity, we work to ensure no one falls through the cracks.

We are committed to:

  • Supporting families and caregivers by offering financial assistance program
  • Care navigation - connecting patients and families to the right people, resources, and systems
  • Advocacy for unrepresented patients: those without family, legal surrogates, or advocates.
  • Guardianship facilitation and advance directive planning
    • Non-clinical guidance and community support throughout the care journey
  • Promoting innovative research in neuroscience and neuroplasticity, and advocating for access to evidence-and non invasive based treatments and rehabilitative approaches
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals and institutions to strengthen ethical care coordination, facilitate informed decision-making, and foster patient-centered care

  • Bridging the gap between scientific research, pharmaceutical development, and the patients and families who need to find each other
  • Connecting patients to clinical trials; connecting researchers to communities they are not reaching
  • Convening scientists, clinicians, artists, innovators, and investors in genuine collaboration
  • Raising public awareness and translating emerging research into accessible understanding

ORIADA ISLAMI

Founder - Executive Director of HAS Foundation Inc

“When we live in alignment with our deepest values and strive toward our highest potential, we not only honor who we are—we inspire what we can become".

The HAS Foundation is grounded in the belief that caring means caring for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—with respect and integrity.

At its core, this convergence of embodied artistic practice, neurological awareness, and personal loss is reflected in the HAS Foundation—something deeply personal to my heart. It represents a commitment to building something meaningful and compassionate: honoring loss through purpose, raising awareness, and encouraging lasting change.
